Pearl Collar 40’s 50’s Detachable Removable CollarJazz up a sweater, blouse (or wedding gown?) with this pristine mid century pearl collar. These were popular in the 40s & 50s. Exquisitely made, (in Japan), with glowing glass pearls in graduated sizes. It's heavy! Satin backed. Closes with hook & eye. Wear alone as necklace? Oh, why not? CONDITION: this truly looks unused. Mint. 1 3 4" wide 13" around on inside
I see only one area where a gemstone is missing (on the back left - photos 6 & 7)
The long paneled waist is totally covered in narrow pin tuck pleats in front which leads to a knife-pleated full skirt
The silk tank is covered in strands of shiny black bugle beads
There is a 1/4" tear on the front right sleeve (as pictured)

elastic still has pull on arm but could be tightened easily if you wanted

Sleeves - 21" from shoulder
Long sleeves have elastic at wrists to keep the chill out
